Steer Feed
Our steers are purchased from Pennsylvania farmers when they are approximately 600 pounds. Until this time they raised by their moms and grass fed. After we pick them up and bring them to the Charles Family Farm, we feed them corn silage, ground corn, and soybeans for protein. They have an ordinary white salt block plus a vitamin and mineral block to lick, at their convenience. We purchase our vitamin and mineral supplements from McCracken’s Feed Mill in Manheim, PA. We do not feed any animal by-products, use any antibiotics or growth hormones. We do de-worm our cattle one time after they come off the grass pastures, much the same way folks have to de-worm their pets.
Healthy, growth hormone and antibiotic free beef for you enjoyment!
